About Us
The American Chamber of Commerce Taichung (AmCham), founded in 1993, is a non-profit membership organization. Since its beginnings, AmCham has served Taichung and its international community by bringing local and international residents together through a variety of events and programs. Today, AmCham remains Central Taiwan's largest international organization.
What We Do:
Social Events
AmCham hosts a number of networking and social events throughout the year. Our focus is to provide opportunities for members to meet, network and engage with other individuals from the local and international business community in Taichung.
Social Contributions
AmCham prides itself on its commitment to helping the local community, and in 2007 established the KIDZ Charity Program. Every year, a number of fundraising events are organised to raise much needed funds to support the Daniel A. Poling House, the Huei-Ming School & Home for Blind Children, the Christian Herald Orphanage, and others. We encourage all members to get involved.
Representing You
AmCham can also assist its members by acting as a representative between business and local and national Governments, by advocating initiatives and measures to improve business, investment and living environment in Taichung for international residents and companies.
